The Contessa 26 has long been recognized as the perfect pocket cruiser for coastal or offshore sailing, with at least two noteworthy circumnavigations under her keel.

Pisces is a sistership to circumnavigators Tania Aebi's "Varuna" and Brian Caldwell's "Mai Miti Vavau". Both sailed solo around the world in their Contessa 26 sloops. I've included a some helpful links under the More Info sections for anyone wanting more historical information on this class of boat.

I purchased the boat in Kingston, Ontario in the fall of 1998 and believe I'm the 5th owner of the vessel. I moved her to the Ottawa area where she spent a few years on the Ottawa River. We then had her hauled to Kingston in the summer of 2004, then sailed her to Toronto. Pisces has been sailed out of the Toronto Sailing and Canoe Club for the past four sailing seasons. She is currently on her mooring at the club.

I have enjoyed the boat tremendously. Growing family and work obligations are leaving me less time to take advantage of this splendid cruiser. She is a wonderful boat for anyone looking to improve their seamanship, cruise the Great Lakes, or even take her further.

Please take a few minutes to go through all her features, a list of projects that I've identified, the conditions of purchase, and information on best days to view the boat.

  Cheers,

Marty
